PKS Faction in House not to disclose names of gratification givers
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Properous Justice Party (PKS) faction in the House of Representatives (DPR)reported the gratification funds its members had received, and returned the money to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), in an effort to promote "good governance," a spokesman said.
"What we want to achieve is the realization of goodgovernance and not adding to the list of people who must be investigated," PKS faction chairman Mahfud Siddiq said here Saturday.
Earlier, on Friday (April 11), Siddiq disclosed his faction had turned over Rp1.9 billion in gratification funds faction members had received in the period December 2005-January 2008 to the KPK.

Jakarta (02/28) – Facing the General Election in 2009, the Women’s Department of PKS in every region and level is already prepared. The preparations include regular women’s training and empowering in order to enhance their capacity and ability in political arena. “By the existence of BMT (similar to credit union investing in many small projects carried out mainly by the lower class citizens), PKS will not only be well-known by its ability to help people recover from natural disasters but also for its charitable activity for the needy,” Douglas said. The most recent issue about young national leadership in Indonesia has been seriously responded by Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). In addition, PKS even ready to fight with Megawati Soekarnoputri which previously challenging young people to compete.
This political issue is one of the PKS agenda that will be discussed during PKS Annual National Conference in Inna Beach, Bali, on 1-3 February 2008. However, not only such agenda will be discussed, but PKS will also discuss about macro and micro economics.
Mahfud Sidik, PKS leader in the Office of House of Representatives through press conference in Kartika Chandra Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (1/23), stated that young national leadership seems to be a core discussion in the conference. He said, "We, the young people, will answer Megawati's challenge. We will see who is more capable!"
Besides simply talking about the political issue, Mahfud also said that "evaluating PKS works during 2007 and party consolidation to face 2009 legislative and presidential election are also another agenda".
Mahfud gave a red mark for SBY-JK leadership in economic front. There are still bunch economic programs that have not been achieved yet. "That's why macro and micro economic prospectus in 2008 will also the other agenda on the conference", continued Mahfud.

Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Annual National Conference in Bali

PKS will hold its annual national conference in Bali on 1-3 February 2008. The conference attended by at least 1500 PKS officers will discuss Party's consolidation for the upcoming legislative election in 2009 and recommendations for Indonesian government leaded by President Susilo Yudhoyono and Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
PKS Shura Council meeting, the highest forum within PKS organization, will be held prior to this conference at the same location.
Some of the guest speakers for the conference are Sineas Garin Nugroho, Dian Sastrowardoyo, PDIP Taufik Kiemas and Ex Indonesian Vice President Try Sutrisno.
"We chose Bali as the place for the conference to emphasize that PKS is pro plurality and supports diversity of religions, tribes, and cultures", said Fahri Hamzah, Under Secretary General of PKS. He also underlined that PKS is committed to establish peace and to end all kinds of violence and terrorism in Indonesia.
